Request a Computer Surgery account

The Computer Surgery community is comprised of aspiring and practiced makers in domains like programming, electronics, and fabricration, as well as users of the makers' projects and friends of the first two groups. Each member understands the importance of community, and in order to protect this one, they are committed to providing a comfortable space for each other regardless of such characteristics as gender, sexual orientation, race, and neurodivergence, especially since many current members are minorities in one or more of these categories.

Account requests are subject to review. If approved, an email will be sent to the provided address from an @computer.surgery address, which will contain a link you can use to finish creating your account. After that, you can join us on our Zulip instance; from there, access to other services may be requested. See also the list of notable services and their access restrictions.

Choose a username. Only lowercase letters a through z, numbers 0 through 9, hyphen, underscore, and period are allowed. Maximum of 63 bytes (i.e. characters).

Choose a display name. Any text is permitted. Maximum of 255 bytes (i.e. characters).

Enter your email address. Maximum of 320 bytes (i.e. characters).

Introduce yourself by writing something that, minimally, would convince the reviewers of your account request that you are not a spammer. You could, for example, indicate which Computer Surgery projects or services you're interested in, and/or link to one or more other online presences of yours. Maximum 1023 bytes (i.e. characters).
